General

We are looking for Network Engineers to join our client’s team to design, deploy, and maintain secure, efficient networks, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with IT and security teams to support business and security objectives.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Aruba, Check Point)
  • Develop, implement, and enforce network security standards, policies, and best practices
  • Perform regular system updates, patching, and certificate management to ensure network stability and business continuity
  • Lead and support network automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and minimize manual processes
  • Implement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, including Cisco ISE integrated with Aruba switching environments
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across LAN, WAN, firewall, and wireless infrastructures in a timely manner
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents and implement preventive and corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to firewalls and VPN technologies
  • Collaborate closely with IT, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security and business requirements

Requirements

Technical

  • At least 5 years of professional experience managing IP-based networks (LAN and WAN)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working with wireless networks
  • At least 3 years of practical experience with Cisco ISE
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Aruba and Cisco
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting, including Python
  • Solid understanding of network segmentation and zoning concepts (e.g., DMZ, internal, external, restricted zones)
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions, make design decisions, and mentor junior team members

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

  • Good level of English and German (oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to details

Nice to have requirements

  • Experience working with Cisco controllers
  • Experience with HP IMC
