Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to design, build and operate cloud platforms. The role focuses on cloud core services, IaaS-based architectures, networking and infrastructure automation, ensuring environments are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient across major cloud providers.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Design, implement and maintain IaaS-based cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Build and operate core cloud services including compute (VMs), storage, networking and load balancing
• Manage cloud networking components (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, firewalls)
• Deploy and operate cloud databases (managed and/or self-hosted), ensuring availability, backup, and performance
• Implement and maintain IAM, security policies, secrets management, and access controls
• Ensure high availability, scalability, backup and disaster recovery for infrastructure and database components
• Support and operate multi-environment setups (dev/test/stage/prod)
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure, database, and platform services
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to infrastructure issues
• Apply cloud security best practices and contribute to cost optimization and resource governance

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Platform roles supporting production environments
• Working experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proven experience with IaaS services (virtual machines, storage, networking)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management concepts
• Experience with Linux systems and networking fundamentals
• Scripting skills for automation (Bash, Python, or Go)
• Familiar with monitoring and observability tools for infrastructure and cloud services
• Familiar with databases in cloud environments
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams

Nice to have requirements

• Experience with multi-account or multi-subscription cloud environments
• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, EKS)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation workflows
• Familiar with cloud security tooling (WAF, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code)
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
