We are looking for Business Analysts with Regulatory Reporting experience who will join our client’s team and will be responsible for performing business and financial analysis, implementing regulatory reporting packages and changes, and updating related processes.
Responsibilities/Activities
- Understand business requirements in the financial domain, specifically in regulatory reporting
- Conduct business analysis for updates to regulatory reports or the creation of new reports
- Develop test cases and scenarios based on the performed analysis
- Perform financial analyses on various reports (assets, liabilities, liquidity reports, etc.)
- Analyse different datasets to identify potential discrepancies and propose new controls for granular data reconciliation
- Understand IT architectures and complex interactions between IT systems
- Prepare IT specification documentation based on financial analysis to enhance existing tools or develop new IT solutions for regulatory reporting
- Clarify and validate business requirements and collaborate with development teams for accurate implementation
- Design AS IS and TO BE processes based on proposed solutions
- Monitor regulatory reporting to support production across the Group
- Take responsibility for project stabilization outcomes, supporting the production of reports both individually and on a consolidated basis
- Support accounting consistency and credit risk analyses
- Recommend improvements to data quality by assessing and logging discrepancies in Group Credit Risk data
- Execute production assistance tasks and operational controls during project stabilization/lead support phases
- Report operational risk events and proactively anticipate risks during production within stabilization/project support activities
- Provide clear and concise status updates to operational and management teams
- Propose action plans to improve performance, resolve issues, and contribute to process simplification and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Technical
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role
- At least 4 years of professional experience in banking, including implementation of regulatory reporting projects (Basel 3, IFRS, Controlling, loan reporting, loan and guarantee administration, Credit Risk, FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit)
- Relevant experience in accounting or financial audit, with a focus on regulatory reporting and analytics, preferably within financial services or banking
- Experience in business analysis and financial analysis within regulatory reporting
- Experience in project implementation within the banking industry
- Prior experience in IT, with understanding of IT architectures and system interdependencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Education
- University degree in Banking and Finance or other related fields preferred
