General

We are looking for Java Engineers to join our client’s development team to build secure, high-volume retail banking payment solutions and develop high-performance Java services that power fraud prevention, payment orchestration, and resilient transaction processing.

 

Responsibilities/Activitie

  • Design and develop Java-based real-time payment processing components
  • Build fraud prevention capabilities and payment orchestration workflows
  • Implement message-driven integrations using Kafka, MQ, EMS and APIs
  • Develop secure, scalable and resilient microservices with Spring Boot
  • Contribute to performance, resilience, security and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with fraud, payments and operations teams
  • Ensure compliance with IT risk, audit and security standards
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and demonstrate delivered features

Requirements

Technical

  • At least 5 years of Java development experience
  • Working experience with Java 21/25
  • Strong Spring Boot, Spring Batch and concurrent programming knowledge
  • Experience with distributed systems, Kafka and Cassandra
  • CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Experience with TDD/BDD (Cucumber, Gherkin)
  • Knowledge of XML, XSL and XSD
  • Security-by-design mindset
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Education

  • University degree in Design, Architecture, Computer Science or other related fields

Others

  • Advanced level of English (verbal and written)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in an international environment

Nice to have requirements

  • Knowledge of additional Java frameworks
  • Experience with ActiveMQ, IBM MQ or other messaging platforms
  • Performance testing and tuning
  • Prometheus, Grafana and observability tooling
  • ISO 20022 knowledge
  • Experience in multi-location/international teams
