Java Developer, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for Java Developers to build scalable digital business banking services, working with Java, Spring, Kafka and cloud-native technologies in an Agile team.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services for daily digital business banking flows
• Build new features and improve existing functionality using Java and the Spring ecosystem
• Develop and integrate REST and SOAP services across internal systems
• Use Kafka for event-driven communication and messaging between services
• Write clean, testable code and create unit and integration tests
• Contribute to technical design decisions, with a focus on scalability, resilience and reliability
• Work closely with QA engineers, analysts, frontend engineers and product stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Improve code quality, performance and deployment processes in a cloud-native OpenShift environment
• Contribute to business banking integrations using TPA architecture, including API/security, consent logic, messaging and core banking integration layers
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years of working experience in a similar position
• Strong Java knowledge; the current stack uses Java 17
• Good hands-on knowledge of Spring Core, Spring Boot and Spring MVC
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful and SOAP services
• Experience with messaging systems, preferably Apache Kafka
• Good understanding of microservices and scalable backend system design
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and clean coding practices
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Working knowledge of Hibernate or similar Java persistence technologies
• Comfortable working with cloud-native/container platforms; the current environment uses OpenShift

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

Nice to have requirements

• Previous experience with TPA (Third-Party Application) architecture or similar API-based banking integrations
• Experience with business banking, digital banking or daily banking customer journeys
• Knowledge of API Gateway/IAM, consent services, message brokers and core banking integration patterns
