ETL Cloud Developer, 3+ years experience

General

We are looking for ETL Cloud Developers with hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory to design, build, and maintain data integration workflows in a cloud environment.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Design, develop, deploy, and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other Azure services
• Integrate data from various sources (on-premises and cloud) into Azure-based data storage (e.g., Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse)
• Implement and manage data flow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring using ADF and Azure Monitor
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements
• Ensure data quality, security, and pipeline performance
• Optimize data transformation logic for scalability and efficiency
• Develop and maintain documentation related to ETL processes, data mappings, and system architecture
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
• Assist in the migration of on-premises data sources (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) to Azure cloud environments

Requirements

Technical

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Working experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF): pipelines, data flows, linked services, triggers
• Experience in data integration and core data engineering
• Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL or similar) for data querying and transformation
• Experience with Databricks and DBT
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, or Managed Instance
• Familiarity with data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and data warehousing principles
• Knowledge of ETL best practices, performance tuning, and large-scale data integration
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure Repos)
• Understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security (Managed Identity, Key Vault)
• Familiar with Python

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or another related field

• Experience with Azure Synapse and/or Power BI integration
• Experience with Oracle databases and migration strategies to Azure
