Data Developer, 5+ years experience

General

We are looking for a Senior Data Developers to build and optimize Oracle data warehouse and ETL solutions, turning complex source data into reliable, well-structured information for business teams.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Work with business and IT stakeholders to understand, document and design data warehouse processes
• Design and build warehouse solutions, data models and the supporting technical framework
• Analyse source systems and define data mappings and transformation rules for the warehouse
• Build, test, tune and deploy ETL workflows using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle stored procedures/packages
• Optimize SQL queries and complex data transformations for large datasets
• Coordinate ETL and database releases with developers, database engineers and project teams
• Support ETL processes, troubleshoot failures and resolve production issues

Requirements

Technical

• At least 5 years of experience in data development, data warehousing and ETL
• Expert SQL and PL/SQL skills, including Oracle stored procedures and packages
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or another ETL platform
• Experience in Data Modelling and Source System Analysis
• Skilled in database design and analyzing large datasets
• Experience profiling, cataloging and mapping data to design reliable flows
• Experience with large databases and advanced performance tuning for complex transformations
• Experience using data exploration and visualization tools
• Experience across different technical configurations and processing environments

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

• Good oral and written communication skills (English and Romanian)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to turn business needs into practical data solutions
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• A collaborative mindset, good prioritization and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Nice to have requirements

• Python programming skills
• Knowledge of PySpark
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working
