Data Analyst, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for experienced Data Analysts to turn complex business needs into trusted data, clear insights and scalable reporting in large enterprise environments.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Analyse complex datasets and turn findings into clear business insights and recommendations
• Gather business needs and translate them into data requirements, mappings and functional or technical specifications
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation and analysis
• Work with Data Engineers on ETL/ELT flows, source-to-target mappings, data models and reporting datasets
• Build or support dashboards, reports and self-service BI solutions for business users
• Define data quality checks, investigate inconsistencies and support data lineage and governance activities
• Support testing and UAT and keep data definitions, business rules and documentation up to date
• Work closely with business, BI, Data Engineering and IT teams in Agile or hybrid environments

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, BI Analyst or data-focused Business/System Analyst role
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with relational databases and large datasets
• Good understanding of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes/Lakehouses, ETL/ELT, data modelling and data integration
• Experience with Power BI / Qlik / Tableau or similar reporting and BI tools
• Experience with data quality, validation, reconciliation, lineage or governance concepts
• Ability to translate business needs into clear data and technical requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Good English communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a practical problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working between business and technical teams and taking ownership of assigned topics
• Adaptability in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Nice to have requirements

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift or similar cloud data platforms
• Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Platform or reporting transformation programmes
• Python or R for analysis and automation
• Background in banking, finance, insurance or other enterprise environments
• Agile/Scrum experience and exposure to international teams
