Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure), 5+ years experience

General

We are looking for Cloud Engineers to join our client’s team and help design, build, automate and operate secure, scalable Azure platforms supporting modern enterprise applications.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient and scalable Azure platform infrastructures
• Contribute to Azure landing zone architecture, deployment, governance and continuous platform improvement
• Plan and execute Azure migration, modernization, standardization and optimization initiatives
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Manage Azure networking, connectivity, security, identity and access management services
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments
• Monitor platform performance, availability, security and costs, ensuring operational efficiency
• Identify, analyze and resolve complex technical issues across Azure cloud environments
• Implement Azure security best practices, compliance controls and governance frameworks
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, security and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Document architectures, standards, runbooks, processes and operational procedures

Requirements

Technical

• At least 5 years of experience in a Cloud or Platform Engineering role
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture patterns, networking, security and identity management
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and DevOps practices
• Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
• Good scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar languages
• Familiar with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerting, logging and observability practices
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

Nice to have requirements

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, Azure Arc, ExpressRoute or VPN connectivity
• Previous experience with enterprise Azure landing zones or Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework
