General
We are looking for Business System Analysts to turn SME banking needs into clear technical solutions across digital channels, integrations, databases and Java-based applications.
Responsibilities/Activities

Work on SME digital banking areas such as mobile/web banking, digital onboarding, lending, multichannel services and innovation initiatives

Understand and, when needed, challenge business requirements, then turn them into practical IT solutions

Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications

Estimate the analysis effort and take part in detailed solution design and Agile ceremonies

Work closely with developers, testers, DevOps engineers, business and operations throughout delivery

Assess feasibility, benefits, risks and the impact of changes on existing systems together with the solution architect

Analyse and help design Java-based applications, including high-volume, low-latency and high-availability systems

Stay involved across the full lifecycle, from workshops and exploratory analysis to implementation, maintenance and live support

Perform sanity testing for delivered changes

Provide L3 support for live applications and help identify the source and impact of production issues

Contribute to continuous improvements in the development and delivery process
Requirements
Technical
- At least 5+ years in a similar position
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a technology environment
- Significant experience with functional design and documenting requirements in an Agile environment
- Basic database programming skills, ideally with MariaDB or PostgreSQL
- Medium-level experience with integrations based on APIs, JMS, Kafka or similar technologies, mainly from a conceptual and consumer perspective rather than API development
- Good understanding of integration concepts and patterns, including message queues and web services.
- Basic experience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS
- Ability to analyse solution impact across existing systems and the wider IT environment
- Good understanding of application design principles for Java-based, high-volume, low-latency and high-availability systems
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

- Good oral and written communication skills (English and Romanian)

Experience with AWS and Java microservices
- Experience with digital services or multichannel applications
- Banking or financial-services experience
- Experience with change-management and defect-tracking tools
- Knowledge of software development using Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, UML design tools and API tools such as Postman or SoapUI
- Exposure to Oracle Database, IBM DB2 or NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments, SCA or similar enterprise integration technologies, and mobile-testing tools such as Android Studio
