General

We are looking for Analytics Engineers to join our client’s Data Management team contributing to the design and delivery of trusted, scalable data products on Azure Cloud. The role connects business, data engineering and analytics, turning raw and curated data into well-governed analytical layers, clear metric definitions and reliable reporting-ready datasets.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Design, build and maintain curated analytical datasets, data marts and semantic layers for BI, reporting and advanced analytics use cases
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models, reusable metrics definitions and transformation logic
  • Develop, test and optimize ELT/ETL data transformations and orchestration flows on Azure Cloud
  • Implement data quality rules, reconciliations, validation checks and monitoring to increase trust in data products
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, BI Developers, Product Owners and business stakeholders
  • Document data models, lineage, business terms, transformation rules and technical design decisions
  • Support incident analysis, performance tuning, root-cause investigation and continuous improvement of existing data solutions
  • Promote engineering best practices such as version control, automated testing, CI/CD, reusable components and governed delivery

Requirements

Technical

  • At least 4 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Modelling or a similar role
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning and query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Solid understanding of analytical data modelling concepts, including dimensional modelling, star schemas, curated layers and semantic models
  • Experience building reliable ELT/ETL pipelines and transforming data from multiple structured and semi-structured sources
  • Good understanding of data quality, data lineage, metadata management, access controls and data governance principles
  • Familiar with Power BI or similar BI platforms, including how analytical models are consumed by reporting teams
  • Experience with Git-based version control and DevOps ways of working
  • Exposure to CI/CD for data solutions is highly valued
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and optimize solutions for maintainability, cost and performance

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics or another related field preferred

  • Excellent command of English, especially for documenting and communicating with international stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
  • Clear communication style, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, collaborative and ownership-oriented approach

Nice to have requirements

  • Relevant Microsoft Azure, Analytics or BI certifications
  • Working knowledge of Python or PySpark for analytical transformations, automation or data validation
  • Experience in Data Governance, Data Catalog, Master Data Management or Data Mesh
  • Understanding of privacy, security and compliance topics in cloud data platforms
  • Experience with dbt, Delta Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Purview / Microsoft Purview / Unity Catalog
