General

We are looking for DevOps Engineers who will join our client’s team and be responsible for defining procedures, testing requirements and pipelines and automating deployments.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Analyse the processing patterns and ensure that the provisioned hardware is sufficient
  • Ensure that machines are up-to-date, security holes are patched, the processes are compliant with the latest requirements in the field, etc.
  • Schedule ETL jobs on the Data Warehouse and automate OS patching
  • Order, build and manage the infrastructure
  • Track down the cause of the problems
  • Identify what caused the issue and ideally fix it
  • Responsible for getting the system back up and running
  • Use different technologies such as Grafana, Git, IBM DataStage, Confluence, Azure DevOps, RHEL, Windows Server, Oracle DB

Requirements

Technical

  • At least 4 years of working experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Experience in administering Linux systems
  • Experience with Bash scripting

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred
  • Equivalent experience will be considered

Others

  • Good level of English, verbal & written
  • Organised and focused
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Respond to critical incidents calmly

Nice to have requirements

  • Experience with Azure Devops or any other CI/CD pipelining tool
  • Familiar with Ansible
  • Experience as a Developer, writing production code (regardless of language / technology / framework)
  • SQL knowledge
  • Experience with DataStage or any related components from the InfoSphere Information Server suite
