DevOps Engineer, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for DevOps Engineers who will join our client’s team and work according to Agile methodology and with the following technologies: PowerShell, SQL, Windows, MS SQL, Windows Server (2016/2019)

Responsibilities/Activities

• Act as a technical support contact for stakeholders
• Configuration and maintenance of production application components
• Ensures system availability is within agreed SLAs
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team
• When necessary and in accordance with requirements, rewrite Windows batch scripts in PowerShell
• Engage in projects involving the migration of applications on either local infrastructure or private cloud infrastructure
• Creating visual representations or documenting the workflows
• Take the lead in local or group project that involve changes, migrations, etc. (e.g. decommissioning servers, domains, users), additionally, conduct change impact assessments for these projects.
• Collaborate with Business Continuity Management to prepare incident reports for authorities, when is needed
• Provide assistance in the annual audit process, which includes the mandatory external audit and occasionally internal audit/CAS, by aiding in the collection and validation of evidence
• Create, update, and maintain local SFTP connections and cross-domain gateway
• Conduct investigations into job running errors and perform necessary cleanup tasks
• Actively participate and represent the Romania team in war room calls with the Head Office during global or local incidents
• Provide essential information and support for incident remediation, contribute to decision-making regarding the local remediation approach, and relay information concerning client impact
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents with local causes and obtain the root cause analysis from the Head Office for incidents with global causes
• Monitor the closure of measures if the incident necessitates reporting to the authorities in Romania

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position
• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting
• Knowledge of SQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Windows Server
• Knowledge of IIS, MS Services, Windows Event logs

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred
• Equivalent experience will be considered

• Able to provide support 24×7 during on-call rotation

• Experience with complex projects

Nice to have requirements

• Knowledge of Python
• Knowledge and experience with Automation tools and processes (Ansible, Git)
• Experience using Agile methodology
