General

We are looking for Cobol Software Developers who will join our client’s team, assisting with the development and maintenance (including enhancements and bug fixes) of ongoing projects.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Understand and participate in drafting detailed functional specifications
  • Assist in translating functional requirements into technical specifications
  • Contribute to estimating the workload needed for development and unit testing
  • Adapt to and follow the operational standards of the development environment
  • Code, configure, and document all produced outputs
  • Adhere to established standards and procedures (architecture, security, quality, and documentation)
  • Ensure alignment with technical specifications through code reviews, impact analyses, and obsolescence reviews
  • Define unit test cases for product components
  • Perform performance testing, including Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) tests
  • Execute qualification tests, including integration and regression testing
  • Provide third-level support, including monitoring incident resolution and troubleshooting

Requirements

Technical

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Cobol Developer
  • Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and CTRL-M (mandatory)
  • Strong experience with Mainframe Z/OS – TSO/ISPF (mandatory)
  • Experience with DB2
  • Knowledge of Endeavor and Git

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science or other related fields

Others

  • Good level of French (B2)
  • High capacity of learning
  • Attention to details

Nice to have requirements

  • Experience with File Aid
