Cloud DevOps Engineer, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for Cloud DevOps Engineers to join our client’s team and support the migration of their application portfolio to a new cloud platform, aligned with industry-standard cloud principles.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Contribute to and support the migration of applications to the new cloud platform (Gen2)
• Carry out full application transformation and implement comprehensive CI/CD practices
• Apply a CD approach for automated deliveries and automated OCS/VCS environment reconstructions through scripting
• Monitor the correct functioning of applications and infrastructure
• Adjust technical resources (CPU, RAM, etc.) based on requirements.
• Create and delete environments as needed
• Support the implementation of new infrastructure for any new application added to the application portfolio
• Update and maintain environments, including applying security patches.
• Understand the new platform, its services, and tool sets, and continually develop relevant skills
• Train and support users on the methodology, platform, tools, and scripts.
• Facilitate the transformation of applications to the cloud and foster DevOps practices
• Assist in drafting application migration documentation
• Collaborate with local IT teams, head office IT teams, technical architects, and infrastructure providers
• Implement FinOps principles to optimize resource usage
• Contribute to risk analysis
• Engage in infrastructure projects, providing technical guidance in line with the client’s best practices, guidelines, instructions, and recommendations

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years of experience working on projects in Cloud, DevOps, and containerization environments
• Strong understanding of both public and private cloud platforms
• Proficiency with key CI/CD tools, including Jenkins Pipelines, SonarQube, Docker, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, Nexus, and ElasticSearch
• Familiarity with a range of technologies, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, PostgreSQL, Logstash, Java, Tomcat, .NET Framework, Linux RedHat, and Windows
• Experience with load balancing solutions, resiliency, and observability tools
• Solid knowledge of cloud security principles and tools
• Understanding of configuration management and deployment best practices

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields

• Good oral and written communication skills (English and Romanian)
