Business Analyst – Data Management, 4+ years experience

General

We are looking for Business Analysts who will join our client’s Data Warehouse teams, leveraging their knowledge of banking products, SQL proficiency and analytical skills to drive data analysis, collaborate with stakeholders, and support finance and risk projects, including IFRS9 deliverables.

 

Responsibilities/Activities

• Collaborate with business data owners/data stewards to understand their data, their data needs and business context
• Analyze the data to onboard in the data warehouse
• Business testing of IFRS9 deliverables for Risk area and other risk and finance requirements
• Participate in set up of conceptual, logical, and dimensional data models, and define default terms for the business terms, based on the IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) Model and the data definitions for the entire banking group
• Bring the data under governance by recording the data definitions in the data dictionary and maintain them as part of metadata management
• Test data and keep consistency and quality
• Match the local and global definitions to the requirements of data users, data owners and other stakeholders
• Set requirements for data quality, data lineage, data security, data privacy and other relevant aspects for business terms/data assets

Requirements

Technical

• At least 4 years of working experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in SQL
• Strong understanding of banking products and processes
• Experience with data modeling techniques
• Knowledge in Finance and Risk areas

Education

• University degree in Computer Science or other related fields preferred

Others

• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to be able to align with various stakeholders
• Enthusiastic personality, bringing pleasure and connection with Agile way of working in multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to encourage the team, to stimulate teamwork, and to take responsibility
